You Deserve A Break

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wished for more hours in a day.  There simply isn’t enough time to do everything that needs to be done, let alone what I’d like to do. How about you? Do you yearn for just a little more time that’s not given away to responsibility? And here we are, in that one weekend a year with the bonus hour. At 2am the time went back. One hour, just one, yet it feels like a luxury to delay the work week, even if it’s just for a mere 60 minutes.

Maybe you’ve already slept it away. Sleeping in for that extra time, getting a few extra Z’s may be your idea of a good day.  Or more likely, you wanted to, but your internal clock woke you up anyway. Drat!

Most of us spend our time off doing this/that and the other thing, just trying to catch up. Shopping, laundry, cleaning, yardwork, stuff for the kids-always aiming to get ahead. I’m sure you can add a lot to that general list. But when is there time for you?

Don’t you deserve a break every now and again?

Think about that extra time. Why not power down the madness and take an hour for yourself?  After all, you’ve worked hard all week, and the weekend is usually spent just getting ready to begin all over again.

So do it. Just for today do something special, something that makes you happy. And then next weekend?  MAKE an extra hour. Carve an hour out of the busyness for yourself, for something that brings you joy, and allows you to feel rested and restored.

You deserve a break!

“This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”  Psalm 118:24 (NKJV) For one extra hour  :)
